"unity in diversity"

"The fact that 32 national associations now partici-pate in this project, which today reaches over 20.000 people every year,  symbolises the progress of European integration amongst the younger generation in our united Europe."
Hans-Gert Pottering, Former President of the European Parliament, honorific patron of the European Youth Parliament

EYP organizes a series of events that are essential elements in the organization: Teambuilding, Committee Work, General Assembly and additional cultural-instructive moments such as the Euro concert, the Euro village (cultural event which depicts the participating countries folklore and cooking), the Panel Session (political discussions with the participation of local and European politicians) etc.

EYP events take place under the form of local, national, regional or international sessions, camps, seminars, training camps for journalists, chair-persons etc.

The number of people that take part in this event is variable (between 30-300 participants). The next International Sessions will take place in Stockholm (spring 2009) and Leuven (summer 2009).

Participants at a EYP event have various positions such as: politician delegates, musician delegates (they take part to an artistic moment in Euro village/ Euro concert), ambassador delegates, chair person (in charge of a committee), journalists, local and international organizers, members of the board (president, vice-president, secretary), national and international committee members. Teachers are also involved during the event; they participate to the general program and a personal educative- creative program. Also local and international official characters are invited: the ambassadors of the participating countries, members of the European Parliament and the European Commission, etc.

At the present time, EYP Romania participates at all these kinds of events and is currently organizing the 2009 Regional Selection Sessions (Muntenia 08.05.2009 - 10.05.2009, Transylvania 15.05.2009 - 17.05.2009, Moldova 22.05.2009 - 24.05.2009). Candidates will be selected for the Romania National Selection Session which will take place in autumn 2009 in Oradea City. Next international event is The Olympic Forum 2009 (25.08.09 - 01.09.2009, Litohoro-Leptokarya, Greece) where 130 youngsters from all over Europe will celebrate the European Year of Innovation and Creation, under the motto "innovating together for a brighter future". In order to be able to participate in EYP international events, one must be a member of EYP Romania and get selected during the National Selection Session.
